Design, analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems by systematic problem-solving approach to improve performance of ByteDance products. Review and operate monitoring systems and device management strategy, making changes and recommendations based on gaps identified. Prototype and analyze architecture and operating system proposals. Develop software platforms which acts like a middleware for connecting multiple services. Define research portfolios from initial operational research to final testing phases. Ensure related network, systems or components are running smoothly to support software services before publication. Conduct systems scale assessment of the sustainability implications of software applications through automation and other mechanisms, and improve network operations by increasing reliability and reducing reaction time of the system performance. Utilize multiple systems languages (Scala, Java, Python, etc.) and scripting languages (Shell, Perl, etc). Design and deploy large scale LAN/WAN networks. Secure a large inter network establishing policies and monitoring access.
Position requires Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field,
PLUS
24 months of experience in each of the following: developing network programs such as Cisco CCNP/Juniper JNCIP; monitoring and improving congestion control for ultra-low latency datacenter networks; security policy/practice for large scale implementation.
